About the Event

Explore movement, have fun and connect with your little one through partner yoga.  Take some time out of the busyness to try a new fun activity together that is good for everyone.  It encourages fun conversations and poses that you and your little  one can take off the mat and into your home to diffuse stressful situations or just find the joy and connections a shared movement activity.  No experience necessary.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a sense of humor and play!

Why is yoga beneficial for children ages 4-8? Yoga creatively introduces postures, breathing and relaxation techniques to your child through playful adventures.  Classes are fun and interactive and help your child improve:

Gross and Fine Motor Skills Concentration & Balance Strength & Flexibility  Focus, Listening & Following Directions  Body Awareness  Sleep & Digestion  Kind Interaction with Others

Why is partner yoga beneficial for families in particular? Enjoy quality bonding time Inspires new idea to take off the mat for transforming those challenging moments into joyful play. Create special memories that will last a lifetime

When we practice yoga and mindfulness, we develop self-awareness, which not only gives us insight to our own individual thoughts, feelings and interactions, but allows us to see how others may be feeling, thinking or interacting in an entirely different (perhaps more compassionate) lens.  With this new lens, we become less reactive and approach situations with understanding and clarity.  Thus, relations improve the more we practice yoga and mindfulness (especially when friends and families practice together)!
